The school has a history of contributing towards local and national charities. We feel that our students should be encouraged to help others who are less fortunate than themselves. As a result of the 'Pupil Voice' surveys, the charity committee is now made up of six pupils from S1-S6 and one staff member. This is very much a pupil led organisation with the teacher mainly as a facilitator.

Day Star School, India - is a school we are sponsoring. This is a school that started with only 9 pupils and now has over 500 pupils who follow a British curriculum. The current S2 have experienced Indian culture, food, music, art and lifestyle in an attempt for them to understand Indian life and culture. They raised money for the school through a variety of activities and we are currently waiting to hear what Day Star School are going to spend the money that we raised on in their school.
Throughout the year we had various fundraisers including Uniform Free Days and the Christmas Fayre. A total of £1145.81 was raised and divided between the three nominated charities which resulted in each organisation receiving approximately £380.00.
On top of this we also raised £354.29 for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day!
