In S1 Modern Studies we study two units, "Poverty in Scotland" and "The Media". By the end of the year you will have enhanced your knowledge about problems in Scotland and the United Kingdom along with understanding how we are influenced.

In the unit of "Poverty in Scotland" we look at the causes and effects of poverty of an individual, family and wider society.

In the unit "The Media" we look at how you are influenced along with the pros and cons of social media.
