This course is excellent preparation for the National Progression Award (Level 4) in Horticulture, which is available for students in S4, 5 or 6.

S3 students can achieve two units: Allotment Gardening and Soft Landscaping which, combined, allow students to gain experience in planning and growing a wide variety of plants.  The course is mostly practical with some written work to support their learning, and each student is required to work safely (wearing the appropriate PPE) in small groups to cultivate the allotment.
