History is the study of past events, particularly in human affairs. We will look at a broad range of events in History starting with local history and the Vikings in S1 through to the American Civil War at Advanced Higher. In History, we focus on using and analysing sources to gain information about events as well as encouraging discussion and debate. We look at using evidence and formulating arguments using this as well as expanding our essay writing skills. We use technology when possible to watch videos/ films relevant to the course as well as using the iPads for research and recalling our knowledge.
