National 4 Physics

Physics helps us to understand the world around us, from the tiniest particles to the largest galaxies and everything in between. Physics opens doors to a large range of careers from cancer treatment to tackling climate changegaming, robotics and artificial intelligence. N4 Physics is made up of four units:

  • Electricity and Energy
  • Waves and Radiation
  • Dynamics and Space
  • Added Value Unit 

There is a combination of theory and practical work throughout the course. N4 Physics is assessed throughout the year and has no final examination.
